Art Mandala with Mahin Hassan
March 1st till March 22nd – Every Friday at 4PM
A diverse set of art initiatives are always going on in Karachi, from truly unique curatorial projects like 1X1 to huge festivals like International Public Art Festival 2019. Art Mandala with Mahin Hassan is an Art Therapy workshop focused on self-expression and intimate, internal exploration. Mandala is Sanskrit for ‘Circle’, and is the embodiment of unity and wholeness. These workshops consist of making circles and using patterns, colours and symbols to fill them in on various surfaces, from ceramic plates to canvases to paper. This process is deeply therapeutic and anxiety relieving: it is an activity for all ages that provides participants with a sense of enclosure – a meditative retreat. Mahin Hassan is an artist and regular conductor of art workshops. Don’t miss these 4 sessions running through March every Friday if you’re seeking an alternative avenue to express your emotions.
