This years International Public Art Festival (IPAF) has come to Karachi this March!
Held at the grand, Colonial-era Karachi Port Trust Building, the IPAF’s highly anticipated event is an original initiative and the first public art intervention of its kind in Pakistan.
With local and international artists taking part, this novel event is an incredible opportunity to reinvent our city’s conception of art. The temporary and permanent creative art installations will display the wide range of talent from across the city. They will help expand the scope of art in Karachi as a medium that promotes free, cathartic expression and inclusion across society.
A work of art remains an unconstricted visual representation of an individual’s reality, and can successfully confront aspects of society where words may fail. This event promises to spread awareness and tolerance, instil a sense of ownership and unite Karachiites. Ultimately, it aspires to celebrate the essence of our home.
City wide movement and collaborating hosts I Am Karachi have organised other events (I AM KARACHI Music Festival) similarly striving to provide pride and hope among Karachiites as we collectively aim to create a more peaceful, pulsating city. Don’t miss participating in their latest initiative to enjoy an array of beautiful art.
