The Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) is teaming up with the DHA Sports Club – Moin Khan Academy to host an evening carnival with a fantastic range of festivities in recognition of World Down Syndrome Day.
The DHA Sports Club – Moin Khan Academy, established by former national Cricket team captain Moin Khan, was a project developed to provide a resource of premium sports facilities for the youth of our country. They have provided an excellent venue for the carnival, and their vision of promoting our country’s youth makes them ideal partners for KDSP’s initiative. The KDSP was formulated by a collective of compassionate individuals and involved parents. Their aim is to provide a foundation of constant support and advocacy for people with Down Syndrome, a genetic disorder associated with delays in physical growth and intellectual disabilities.
The inclusion of these individuals in society can be facilitated by participation in this giant carnival event, the proceeds of which will go to the support of individuals in need. We can all contribute to the cause and have a party while we’re at it. The KDSP Carnival will provide fulfilling food options and a number of great games and activities, including Mini Golf, Feed the Clown, Hit the Sponge, Sling Shot, Spin the Wheel, Basketball, Ring Toss, Scoop the Duck, Soccer Kick and many more. A whole host of Craft Vendors will set up shop as well: The Bowtique Studio, Ghazal Pirzada Creative Studios, Firefly, Starshine Truck Art Gallery, and The Social Bond Welfare Organization to name a few. There will be prizes, an amazing musical performance, and even opportunities to sight celebrities. Bring your family and friends and join the KDSP for a Sunday of excitement and celebration.
