A comprehensive guide on making the best of Karachi Eat Food Festival 2020

Chilly breezes, rich scents wafting through the air, unconventional foods ranging from paratha calzones all the way to churro hotdogs, Karachi Eat 2020 promises it all and more!
Mark your calendars, Karachi’s favourite festival is just around the corner and it’s promising to be bigger and better than ever. Once again located at Beach View Park, Clifton, the massive food festival will take place on the 10th, 11th and 12th of January and will play host to more than 90 stalls. Though the price of the ticket has not yet been revealed, if last year is anything to go by, the price will be around Rs. 350, give or take a little.
From local dishes to international cuisine, Karachi Eat 2020 has a lot to offer, especially its unlimited variety of customized dishes, created exclusively for the festival, which often fuse local and international cuisines to create something fresh and exciting. So, while we impatiently wait for the event to commence, here’s a brief look at what it has to offer. Let’s dive right into it!

Crying Tiger from Lemongrass
A casual Asian fusion cafe, Lemongrass, created the dish ‘Crying Tiger’ exclusively for Karachi’s biggest eat festival. Beef lovers, this is the dish for you! Tender beef steak pieces combined with a spicy Thai dipping sauce, served with a Thai house salad and string fries. What more could you ask for?

Boss Double from Burger Boss
Karachi Eat never fails to please burger lovers and this year seems to be no different! Known for their organic grass fed meat, Burger Boss is introducing their Boss Double. This signature burger with its juicy beef patties and the eatery’s famous sweet and spicy onion relish sauce is a must try.
Extra tip: Remember to try this burger with their sweet potato fries on the side for that additional kick!

If you want to try something new and innovative, you should check out these chips paired with flavorful sweet and savoury dips from Chipseez.

Churro Hotdog from Churrosity
Meeting their promise for fresh and crispy churros, Churrosity is back at Karachi Eat once again! Remember to try out their Churro Hotdog. A mix between sweet and savoury and exclusively created for the festival, this dish looks inventive and yummy!

Khan’s Matka Haleem from Khan Haleem
All you desi food lovers, you don’t want to miss out on this. Chilly winters and piping hot haleem are the perfect pair and since this dish is once again, created exclusively for Karachi Eat 2020, it is a must try!

Popsicles from Saydyz
Saydyz has not disappointed once! Along with their popular sorbets and ice creams, this time, they’re showing up with a brand new popsicle flavour – Strawberry Banana Surprise. Sounds like heaven!

Canolli from Zoya’s Kitchen
Zoya’s Kitchen offers scrumptious desserts all year round but for Karachi Eat 2020, they’ve created a brand new confection – Canolli! Other than this fabulous dessert, they will also have their popular pavlovas and swirl brownies for everyone to try!

Tacos Al Pastor from TacoCat
At every Karachi Eat, TacoCat’s tacos sell out faster than possibly any other item. This time, they’ve returned with a brand new flavour called Tacos Al Pastor. Head on over to try it!

Rueben Slam from SlamVich
A total hit during last year’s Karachi Eat, this year SlamVich returns with their savoury and innovative sandwiches, debuting a new flavour called ‘Rueben Slam’. Don’t miss it!

All you dessert lovers, this one’s for you. Transferring your bonfire smore experience into a jar, this new dessert is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Turkish TanTuni from TanTuni House
Turkish cuisine is always a total hit! TanTuni’s popular chicken and beef Turkish TanTuni will hopefully be as flavorful as before. Don’t forget to check out their stall!

D’OH
Churros are wonderful but they’re even better when they’re stuffed. This year, D’OH brings dessert sushi rolls to Karachi Eat and like everything they’ve ever produced, this is sure to be a massive hit!
Oh and don’t worry, they’ll still have their Jolly Rancher Ice Lollies so you can splurge on all of these sweet delicacies.

Tikiyani
One can never go wrong with Biryani. Especially, if it’s paired with a smoky and spicy tikka. The stall Tikyani brings this tantalizing fusion to this year’s Karachi Eat!
For those of you who are afraid that this year’s Karachi Eat will not have your favourite items from the past, fear not because along with the new, this year’s festival will also feature the old.
TAKE A LOOK
Everyone’s favourite Sweet Escape will return with its irresistible flavoured cotton candy!
Saniya’s Kitchen will be back with their delicious khaosuey and chili lime prawns!
Sweet Greens’ Red Chilli Tacos which people went berserk for during Karachi Eat 2019, are making a return this year, along with their new creation Drunken Noodles.
The popular SpicOgetti will return but with a new dish this time; Chic n Cheese Spaghetti.
Red Volks, known for their long lines at Karachi Eat 2019, are bringing their all-time favourite Camper’roni Chicken Slider to this year’s festival as well.
