The Elixir Private Zoo is hosting a large, family oriented event to showcase their wide ranging collection of local and imported animals.
They are a private run animal facility aiming to improve the standards and norms of zoo keeping in Karachi. They have attempted to provide an ideal natural environment for their animals, and their self-professed goal is to boost our society’s awareness about endangered species and ultimately prevent extinction and animal cruelty.
The zoo is the only facility of its kind in Karachi, and could do with increased local support and interaction for the sake of our country’s animals. They provide Animal Shelters for abandoned and stray animals, rehabilitate birds and other wildlife and regularly adopt. Moreover, they give educational opportunities for school groups to visit their animals and specialise in training and grooming of individual owner’s pets.
Their Sunday ‘Family Funday’ event is a promotion of their animals and a further attempt to raise the collective care of animals in Pakistan. Join this free event with friends and family to enhance your own knowledge about our wildlife and the plight of endangered species and get the chance to meet some wonderful animals up close.
