Headliner and genius standup comedian Akbar Chaudry will be performing his 3rd hour long comedy special. Back again with fresh vulgarities and excessively raunchy comedy, the MAD School never fails to impress. With a collection of tremendously talented individuals, Akbar Chaudry brings the whole project a gear forward with his unique ability to carry a show. The fantastic restoration project and tribute to Karachi that is TDF Ghar is a valuable public space hosting beautiful evenings in front of the Bagh-e-Mazar-e-Quaid. Calling all comedians, singers, musicians and poets, the TDF Ghar will be hosting another Open Mic Night. Their special guest is Guitarist and Vocalist Saad Ali! Departing from their standard short form comedy to more experimental, long-form delivery, LOLWaalay will be putting on an unscripted, highly improvisational performance that will last as long as the audience can handle. From monologues, games and a range of scenes all interlinked with each other, this show at The Second Floor (T2F) is theatre and comedy at it’s finest. Featuring the main man Akbar Chaudry who put the stand-up scene back on the map, ‘The Sayeen’ Ali Gul Pir, ‘The Bad Boy’ Sannan Wastani, ‘That Uncle’ S. Muhammad Kumail and ‘Mr. No-Opinion’ Zubair Tariq, this comedy show will be absolutely lit! Tickets are available at the venue – don’t miss out!

Pakistan’s Bloggers, Writers, Readers and Poets – OPEN MIC SHOW

Book collectors Book Bee will be hosting PBWRP’s first open mic show to give the emerging writers of our city a public platform. Book Bee has a huge collection of Urdu and English books in every genre. They strive to spread the knowledge, comfort and guidance that the world of literature can provide to readers. This event is in support of all literary and educational endeavours, and will have a few guests of honours, from famous T.V stars and public personalities to CEO’s. Poets, stand-up comedians, all writers and story tellers and musicians of all disciplines are invited to perform in front of a huge audience. ROCK – PAPER – IMPROV

Qaumi Coup is a group of artists that have teamed up to entertain and educate through the vast scope of the performing arts. At the venue of Thotspot in Badar Commercial, they will be hosting a pure improv night that will have the audience questioning exactly how on-the-spot the comedy is! The answer – all of it! With multiple storylines and shifting characters, this long-form improv comedy show will feature incredibly talented comedians like JD – Malik Junaid and  Hassaan Bin Shaheen as well as actor Usman Mazhar. DOW UNIVERSITY OPEN MIC NIGHT

DOW University consistently hosts fantastic events for Karachi’s college kids. The String’s live concert over the weekend was a euphoric event with classic tracks blasting through the night. This Thursday evening, DOW will be hosting an Open Mic Night at their DIMC main cafeteria. Stand-up comedians, talented musicians and singers and various other performers will be putting on a show.
