Trash It is an inspirational startup dedicated to eradicating the excessive trash all over the city.
With an energised, enthusiastic collective of individuals on the team, their ultimate goal is a beautiful, cleaner Pakistan with communities that care about responsible waste disposal.
Trash It provides a ton of great information and organises initiatives that can get more Karachiites on the ‘zero waste journey’.
They teach people how to get rid of their trash effectively, and provide the ultimate solution – they turn your trash into useful materiel! They render organic waste into a nutrient rich compost, ensuring that carbon doesn’t escape into the environment and the soil is replenished with nutrients.
They have also organised an environmental sustainability project called ‘ECO SPACE’, which is currently working as a means of effective community outreach. Free of cost, they intend to turn rooftops of community buildings into sustainable eco spaces, designed to get different communities engaged with their vision.
You can shop for their range of products, including tote bags, bamboo toothbrushes, stainless steel straws and more items helping you on your path away from the use and disposal of harmful plastics.
This Earth Day, in collaboration with Urban Forest in Clifton, Trash It conducted a ‘compost learnshop’ to help us transition to an eco-friendly lifestyle. Participants brought their compostables along for organic waste collection at the venue, and were able to ask questions about composting. Trash It also offered scheduled compost consultation at participants homes and some all natural compost for their own plants. This Earth Day, give Trash It a like on their facebook page to learn, among other things, the importance of composting and living an eco-friendly lifestyle.
