Their latest offering, based on a script first envisioned in 1992 by the original batches at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Kahaani Kahi ik Jaly Perh Nay tells the story of an extremely earnest artist and a queen fixated on her fear of evanescence as they explore themes of “freedom of speech, manipulation, and oppression”. Based on the Urdu translation of a Japanese story by Kijima Hajime, the production explores the notion of societal consciousness, and the repercussions faced when it is suppressed.
