Eid Azaadi Festival

Port Grand welcomes you with greetings, “Eid Ayi Mazay Layi” , with a week long festival from 13th to 18th August, celebrating the season of the two major festivals in the country: Eid and national independence day. During these dates, the “Eid Azaadi Festival” is celebrated each day at 5pm. As Port Grand puts it, the festival needs to be celebrated the “grand” way: entertainment is guaranteed with great food, fun discounts, dance, music, amusement rides and a lot more – all with an entry ticket of 300 rupees. There is also a talent lineup for musical performances from artists including the Blues Band, Hassan Darbuka, Temoor khan and others.

World Education Expo Karachi

The counseling organization, Time Consultant, is organizing World Education Expo at Mariott Hotel on 17th and 18th August, 2019. The timings of the exhibition are from 12pm till 7pm in the evening.

2nd Dribbble Design Meet Karachi 2019

All the creative folks of Karachi from their respective fields are invited to the second edition of “Dribbble Design Meet” where the event organisers, “User and Experience” have planned out workshops, activities and other sessions that will ensure learning and provide an enabling experience to enhance one’s design skills. It will also be a good meet and greet opportunity for the attendees to exchange ideas and to learn from one another. The session is going to take place in 17th August, at Gaditek.

Session on Anger Management & Importance of Counseling

The IBA Summer School is offering affordable courses on Life Skills training in Karachi.  Life skills and the need of their development training is often not given its due importance in any aspect of our life, be it personal life, workspace, parental activities and academic studies. Henceforth, IBA has designed an entire life skills program package with sessions every Saturday, from 10am to 12pm. This particular session on ‘Anger Management and Importance of Counseling’ will be held on 17th August, 2019. Other sessions include courses like, ‘Healing through art and meditation’, ‘Nutrition’ and ‘Parental styles and Attributes’. The sessions are open to all – to parents, teachers, students, corporate professionals, or anyone else who has a general interest in improving their lifestyle. The total fee for the entire package is PKR 10,000 or PKR 9000 for any three courses.

The Azadi Cruise

This year, Al Noor Cruise, in collaboration with roadtrips.pk, has set up its boats for an “Azadi Cruise” experience on 17th and 18th August. A three-hour long cruise in the evening at Kemari Jetty will celebrate Pakistan’s 72nd birthday. There is also a preferred dress code of green and white to represent the Pakistani flag. Bring your friends and family because the cruise abounds in attraction and facilities, which include live music and cooking, games and magic shows for children, professional photography sessions. and an opportunity to enjoy delicious buffet food in the middle of the sea. Al Noor Cruise will also be inviting to its #AzadiCruise, the famous RJ and TV anchor, Mr Shoaib Ahmed.

Study Abroad Expo’ 2019

“The New Consultants” is organizing its Study Abroad Expo on 18th August, from 11 am onwards, at the Pearl Continental Hotel. The entry is free for all and university officials from famous universities of different parts of the world will be there to answer your confusions and to brief you about study abroad opportunities and how to avail them. The exhibition will cover more than 200 degree programs. So, show up and get expert counseling on admissions assessments and visa assistance.

Pepsi presents: And Then There Were None

There is a theatrical play on performance that has become the talk of the K-Town: “Ten strangers make it to an island, invited by a host they don’t know. Each of them has a secret that they are hiding and a crime for which they must pay”. The Drama Queen Productions has put together a brilliant play, “And then there were none”, a very famous play written by the wildly popular writer, Agatha Christie. The play is being performed at T2f café on several dates including 16th-19th and 23rd – 25th of August.

This drama, belonging to the genre of murder-mystery, has opened to a tremendous response and all Karachiite are encouraged to go and watch the play while it is still being shown.
