Pakistan Theatre Festival 2023, presented by Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi will showcase the play Ikhtiyar.

Ikhtiyar - Tragedy

Ikhtiyar is the tale of a girl going through harrowing trauma. It portrays the continuous battle she fights while going through the loss of an unborn child. While the road to recovery is already laced with difficulty, her family’s pressure of trying to conceive again becomes too hard to battle. The play also highlights the family and societal pressure her spouse feels while she continues to fight an inner battle as her suffering has only piled on since her childhood.
