SuperFriends – Two Year Anniversary

SuperFriends

Two Year Anniversary

Superfriends - "We live for the moments that won't be forgotten, with the people you don't want to forget"

The techno scene is clearly on a stunning rise in Karachi. High profile commercial events featuring prominent house, techno and EDM DJ’s seem to be on point every weekend – and the city has been buzzing accordingly.

If you’re paying attention, between the cracks of these seemingly saturated events is the ultimate gateway to Karachi’s underground.

The creation of Superfriends was incidental. A collective of multi-talented friends hosting awesome beach parties in Karachi has become a label of community building and creative enterprise – DIY with raw uncut emotion at its finest.

Co-Founder’s DJ Senpai & Artiste Ameer are two music wiz kids – emergent DJ’s and production experts familiar with genres of house, deep house, tech house, techno, indie dance/nu disco, melodic house/techno and more.

Senpai’s been around the block lately – with sick performances at Estrella Music Festival, Artotheque by The Jungle, and the recent pop-up shop for emergent brands and creatives – Entropy. He’s a visionary, expressing himself through music and creating value bigger than a single set on a single night.

Artiste Ameer is already highly regarded as a virtuoso on the decks. He’s a production expert known to deliver out of body experiences with his sets.

Superfriends’ two year anniversary comes after an epic journey of amazing events and peak music. They’re going all out, sunrise to sunset. 12 hours of quality sets from a selection of super talented DJ’s is Superfriends’ standard – but they’re elevating the energy for the occasion. An open dance floor under the sky, visual aesthetics and curated elements, a SuperBar with a variety of hand crafted drinks… This time, it’s an all-encompassing experience.

Everything they do is rooted in their conception of club culture – experiences that create connections and bring communities together.

Come participate in an open canvas; where music, ideas, innovation and people meet.

Zoi

Zoi initially started in music by throwing down tunes in the warehouses of Lahore, Pakistan. Soon after, he launched into his music career with Talal & Zoi (T&Z), a duo that has delivered performances at Kater Blau (Berlin, DE), Keizerpark open air (Ghent, BE), Bushwick’s Bogart House (Brooklyn, NY), and Electric Island (Toronto, CA). T&Z represented Toronto internationally with chart-topping releases featured on labels such as Dirtybird, Kindisch, Moodfamily, Traum, Rawthentic and Dantze.

These days, Zoi is invested in transforming the music and events culture in his home city of Toronto. He’s helped establish a collective known as Untold Stories – a platform for local artists to play alongside international acts. With plans of starting his own recording label in 2020, Zoi hopes to continue representing Toronto and Pakistan internationally.

The duo from Lahore, Pakistan has a next level passion and love for electronic music. They’ve designed and executed an original blueprint of their own sound, ensuring their elite status in the electronic music industry with innovative, fresh sets.

With stunning releases on Lump Records, Thousand, Natural Rhythm and the respected record label Akbal Music, Fake Shamans are also driving their own record label Fake Rituals, as well as recently acquired the residency at 5 Senses Thailand – one of the top names around the music scene in Asian continent.

Fake Shamans have played alongside many respected DJs including: Einmusik (Einmusika Recordings) // Kaiser Souzai (Ballroom Records) // Supernova (Lapsus Music) // Mat Joe (Katermukke) // David Delgado (Body Parts) and the pioneer himself; Nick Muir (Bedrock).

DJ Kakes (Khayal)

Khayal is a London based resident DJ at Tramp – a private members club and exclusive venue for amazing club, bar and party scenes. He’s a talented guitarist that ultimately found his passion as a producer and DJ, and is heavily involved in La Danse, a series of events at Village Undergound.

DJ Neha is a stylist and emergent DJ herself. She’s only just started dropping sick sets over the last year and a half – and since, has been a prominent addition to a number of awesome events, including the high profile Solis Festival at Moin Khan Stadium. A couple of really talented female DJ’s are beginning to establish themselves as elite production experts, and Neha is one to look out for!
