Now, with an expansion of their club, they are focusing on stimulating the tourism industry of the country as well. The tour will be initiated from Abbottabad, a land blessed with delightful weather throughout the year. It serves as a gateway to Naran – one of the focal sightseeing destinations on the list. Surrounded by lofty mountain peaks on either side and covered with lush fir and pine forests, the valley remains shielded from human intrusions. The snow-capped Himalayan peaks, covered with heavy clouds, are an illustrious attraction spot for those visiting the Northern Areas.

naran bazaar morning

A view of the hill resort becomes vivid after crossing over the Naran Bridge. With the dusk setting in, a blanket of dim light takes over the city making it gleam against the dark silhouette of the sky. You can visit the Naran bazaar, where the clamoring roads, over-decorated shops, people indulging in commotion, deafening laughter, and the general flamboyant layout of the city will leave you awe-struck.

lake Saif-ul-mulook heaven on earth

The visit would be lacking without a following trip to the divine lake, also renowned as heaven on earth, Lake Saif-ul-Mulook. The unparalleled beauty of the lake is reflected by the greenish-blue crystal clear and freezing water, enclosed by massive glaciers. The lake with its exotic and mesmerizing natural beauty, pleasant atmosphere, accompanied with romantic tales of its historic origin, adds a mystic facet to an already enchanting location. The avalanches, heavy rain and thunderstorms add a tinge of romance on their own, becoming a source of fascination for thousands of tourists, visiting from all across the world.

The exploration of Lulusar Lake, Babusar Top and Nanga Parbat would be due next. Stretching over two and a half kilometres, Lulusar Lake with its dark waters is ostensibly so mysterious- that even in the daylight, it would make anyone spellbound. It is teardrop-silver in colour with the water reflecting like a mirror. The lake is shaped like a perfectly flat disc of metal, with no sound coming out from the shimmering emptiness of space around it.

altitude mountainous pass

Babusar top, is a high altitude mountainous pass from where if a glance is thrown downwards, you can capture the exquisite view of Gaitidas meadows and a discreet polo ground. The Nanga Parbat, with its iconic fairy meadows, possesses an arid but impressive landscape surrounded by snow and ice blocks. The silence there is only interrupted by the sound of the occasional avalanches, audible from a remote distance.

The panoramic location of Hunza Valleys will leave you stunned. You will encounter a unique blend of different regions within the Northern areas. Enclosed by snow-capped mountains, the incredible peak of Rakaposhi stands tall. At the basin of the valley is lush vegetation enveloped by fruit-bearing trees inclusive of apricot, apples and pear trees along with other wild flowers. Apart from the obvious scenic appeal resonating within the place, Hunza Valley also retains and preserves the magic of ancient culture. The Baltit Fort at the top and the Altit village in the valley below are entirely restored. The 700 year Baltit fort, despite having cobblestone path, give you such a magnificent scenery at the top that the effort of walking feels worth the exertion.

Lastly, tourists will embark on a journey to the awe-inspiring Attabad Lake. The water body is a consequence of a massive landslide: though ironically the destruction of landscape lying underneath magnifies the beauty of the enthralling lake. From there on the last city Sost will be the next destination. Multiple Chinese commodities are displayed in a huge market that promotes the trading sector between us and our neighbouring country. The Khunjerab National Park will also be visited – not only one of the few high altitude parks in the world, but a shelter for endangered animal species like the snow leopard. The Khunjerab Pass will be next, with snowy mountains and grassy landscape swathed at its footing and lovely small ponds.
